I've always loved dolls. Their faces, their eyes looking at you. Like they were little beings that all had a life of their own. I don't know why I started making them..Maybe it was the doll my aunt made me when I was 3, a large rag doll named suzy homemaker, I still have her. Or maybe it was my 1st grade teacher with her room full of old dolls all staring at me as I walked inside, I'll never forget it.

Dolls for me seem to be an expression of my feelings and thoughts, conscious or unconscious. I can always accept them however they come out in the end with no strict preconceived notion, and the creative play limits are endless. Dolls are a medium I have found where I can mix all my love of painting, sewing and sculpting in one without sacrifice.

Many of my Dolls have been published in Art Doll Quarterly magazine

I also love to make ArtQuilts..maybe it's those times when I remember making stuffed Christmas Ornaments with my family, or seeing my mom make us clothes..I was also told my great grandmother made quilts..I guess that started my obsessive fabric collecting and turned into self taught quilting. I enjoy the freedom of pattern and experimentation quilts allow and feel it is a great medium to express myself in a 2-dimensional form.
